Pretty but..

Very pretty.

I've been trying to find the time to go look at a car a fellow I know has for sale. It's a 1970 (or is it 69.5?) Camaro Z-28 with what I've been told is original 350, and transmission. I think it was made in Sept or Oct of 69, but is definitely a Series 2 car.

I also happen to have a local buddy who rebuilds cars, and it just so happens that his specialty is Series 2 Camaros. If fact he's got two in his garage right now. He's pretty eager to see the car and knows he might have a shot at it if I pass. Of course, this is a pretty tight time financially, so depending on the asking price, we'll see....

The 70 is second generation...I just don't care for those. I'm strictly a 67-69 guy if I'm gonna cross lines and drive a Camaro...

Not many GM cars turn me on past 70 or so...frankly, in GM's defense, not many American cars do either. But ya gotta drive something...I did have an early 70's 302 Maverick....wish I had it back...crappy car but damn it was fun to drive...and spooked the hell out of a lot of big blocks..

The American car industry pretty much hit rock bottom in the 70's...they spent the 80's recovering, and IMHO it's only been the last 10-15 years we have started really building good stuff again...

Mercury Capri almost does it...
